Avertano Furtado always wanted to return home and build a basein his "Dream Goa". He brought this dream into reality by identifying a location for a hotel in South Goa which was unknown and unheard of, without even a road to connect this stretch of land to the main village of Mobor Beach. He visited this land in a canoe due to non-accessibility, and his vision for Mobor was quickly realized.

Today Mobor Beach is a buzzing stretch with hotels,
restaurants, shops etc., providing employment for the entirebelt of South Goa. Avertano Furtado also acquired a piece of land by the River Sal initially used as housing for construction workers. This land was later converted to the now famous Fisherman's Wharf, the vision and creation of Avertano Furtado's son, Xavier Furtado.
